Tutors

UK Super Tutors are dedicated to providing personalised tutoring services to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to thrive both academically and personally.

We work with you to understand the SEN support most beneficial for your child and focus on designing a support plan that addresses their unique challenges and goals.

Once we understand your child’s needs, we recommend an experienced tutor who specialises in the relevant areas e.g. Dyslexia, ADHD, or any other specific need.

Many of our tutors are highly trained in SEN teaching, specialising in helping children with additional needs (whether they require assistance due to general learning difficulties, behavioural issues, or disabilities).

Building a teaching plan:

Our SEN tutors will provide personalised learning plans that align with a graduated approach, to ensure your child gets the best tailored support to help them reach their full potential.

The tutor will discuss and agree with you a plan to complement any existing provisions.

If your child is struggling with core subjects like science or math, or needs help with social skills, we work towards their overall development.

By focusing on what is the SEN need for each child, we ensure they receive the right level of support, helping them grow academically and personally.

By understanding what is the SEN support required at every stage, we ensure your child gets the right assistance to succeed.

ADHD

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorders is a behavioural disorder characterised by inattentiveness, impulsivity and hyperactivity. It may occur without the hyperactive element and is then described as ADD.

Anxiety

is a feeling of stress, fear or panic which can affect a person’s life in both physical and psychological ways. All children will experience some anxiety, e.g. about trying new foods, separating from parents or moving schools but untreated anxiety in children can result in extreme forms of avoidance, panic attacks and self-harm.

Anxiety is common in Autism, with 40-50 per cent of autistic people thought to have a severe level of anxiety on a regular basis. Anxiety is a feeling of unease, which may present as worry, restlessness, fast heartbeat or breathing, hot flushes, even panic attacks.

Autism

Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) - causes children or young adults to have difficulty developing social and interaction skills. The condition can lead to a child or young person becoming isolated. It is very important that a child or young adult with ASC / ASD is identified as early as possible to ensure that their developmental difficulties are fully understood.

Attachment Disorder (AD)

arises when an infant or child under the age of five suffers an early life trauma and then fails to form normal loving relationships with their primary carers.

Dyscalculia

is a specific learning difficulty affecting the normal acquisition of arithmetic skills.
